In one of my experiments, I encoded an image into its RGB pixel values as a way to quantify my own memories as the image. The pixel values are then manipulated with ASCII characters to create poems from numerical values. When any pixels from the RGB values match with the text given, it will replace the text with the numbers. These manipulated numbers and texts are then fed to ChatGPT to see how it reconstructs the image based on its "understanding.”
It's not picture perfect as the original image, however, the machines are able to create this image with just the values given. For me, this experiment reflect how images perceived by machines are just numerical data that can be processed. No matter how we think of this image as a precious memory, its understanding are just merely number of values to be analyzed.
In this website, you can create your own poems using any images. Write some few words that can describe the image, it could even be a whole paragraph. Click process, and it will generate your own poem of numbers using the descriptions and image you have shared. You can download your own poem in the form of text file as well, just click the download button!
